About: When we have visited Welcombe Mouth in the past the tide has always been in and there is not a lot of beach left so we timed this visit for low tide and we are glad we did. The beach has lots of lovely fine sand and the geology is simply stunning.

About: There is a long descent to get to Stoke beach and the first part is down through a caravan park. Dogs were allowed when we visited but the daft collie was not keen on the metal steps to get back up and had to be coaxed to keep going.

Sunny Day at Stoke Beach

About: There is limited parking at Stoke Beach and it is quite an arduous climb back up but even on a gorgeous sunny day like this one the beach was very quiet. Dogs were permitted all year round when we visited so the daft collie enjoyed a good walk.

About: The mile long pebble beach at Seaton is still used by some fishermen but in its heyday this was a very popular place from which to go to sea. The area does not always get the best publicity in the guide books but we have spent lots of happy hours the......
