Very Windy at Berry Head
Place: Berry Head Category: Nature Reserves Size: Wallpaper Size About: On the day that we visited Berry head it was very windy and a trip out onto the farthest point of the headland was a bracing experience. One of the noticeboards on the Berry Head Nature Reserve point out that 300 years of quarrying have shaped the north side of the headland and caves that were left are now a maternity unit for Greater horseshoe bats one of the rarest and largest of the UK's species of bats.
